To celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Perth Mint is proud to release this commemorative gold proof high relief coin. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary at 2:40am on 21 April 1926, the eldest daughter, and first child, of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. On 20 November 1947, the Princess married the Duke of Edinburgh, known then as Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, in Westminster Abbey. She ascended the throne five years later at the age of 25, upon the death of her father on 6 February 1952. She is the longest reigning monarch in British history, and the longest living British monarch. St Edward’s Crown Reverse Design The coin’s reverse depicts a pattern inspired by The Queen’s coronation crown. The inscriptions H.M.
