A true Aussie icon, this year’s special was featured at the expo in August and depicts the kangaroo resting on its haunches in special ANDA Money Expo packaging. Quality 99.9% Pure Silver The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver. 2016 Australian Kangaroo Design The coin's reverse depicts an adult kangaroo in colour resting on its haunches with the silhouette of another kangaroo in the background. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2016 year-date. Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on its obverse.
