This innovative coin’s reverse celebrates turquoise, a gemstone prized and admired by civilisations throughout history. Its special significance in Egyptian, Persian and Aztec cultures saw it fashioned into a remarkable array of striking jewellery, decorative mosaics and beautiful ceremonial objects. Classic turquoise is sky-blue in colour and is generally opaque with a waxy lustre. Turquoise also occurs in hues ranging from blue-green to green, and with black veins that lend unique character to individual pieces. Proof Quality 99.9% Pure Silver Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. Unique Reverse Design The coin incorporates a transparent circular locket containing a disc of turquoise.
