The fifth issue of the 12-part

Dino Thaler Series

is dedicated to the "most dangerous dinosaur", the

Tyrannosaurus Rex

. The series from Austria brings the prehistoric giants back to life. A special feature of the 12-part series is that the motive is highlighted in color and printed with fluorescent colors, so that the dinosaurs glow in the dark. Each coin in the series is dedicated to a prehistoric behemoth and has a denomination of 3 Euro. The motive of the fifth issue shows the impressive Tyrannosaurus Rex in color. In the background a primeval landscape and another dinosaur are shown. The design is completed by the inscription "TYRANNOSAURUS REX 2020". On the reverse of the coin are silhouettes of all following motives in this series. Between the dinosaurs are stylized illustrations of plants. Furthermore there are the inscriptions "Republik Österreich" and "3 Euro". The Tyrannosaurus Rex, called T-Rex for short, is characterized by its long and sharp teeth. Some almost complete skeletons of it could be found, especially in western North America. So far, over 50 individuals of the fearsome prehistoric inhabitant could be described. The
