The Barbadian Dollar has been the currency of Barbados since 1973, when it replaced the Eastern Caribbean Dollar. It is normally abbreviated with the dollar sign $, or alternatively BBD $ to distinguish it from other dollar-denominated currencies. Apart from the regular circulating coinage, the country has also authorised some foreign mints to issue commemorative and bullion coins under its jurisdiction. These are typically in standard bullion sizes, such as one ounce of silver (abbreviated as 1 oz Ag, where "Ag" comes from the Latin word for silver, Argentum). The 2023 1oz Barbados Caribbean Green Monkey Silver Coin is part of the Caribbean Silver and Gold series by MDM, issued in partnership with APMEX. The green monkey has golden-green fur and the top of the tail, backs of the thighs and cheek whiskers are golden yellow. they are found in a variety of woodland areas and are inhabit coastal areas. | ||||||

Details | Each MintDirect Premier single is placed in a non-reactive plastic polymer authentication card to protect the coin’s finish. APMEX individually seals each coin to ensure the authenticity and condition after being removed directly from the mint boxes. APMEX has partnered with PCGS, one of the most trusted names in numismatics, to further enhance the MintDirect Premier program. This partnership with PCGS allows MintDirect Premier with PCGS FirstStrike coins in their sealed packaging to remain eligible for the FirstStrike designation if submitted to PCGS for grading long after new FirstStrike-eligible coins are typically off the market. |
