Silver Kilo 2023 Steampunk - Jet Pack, Coin from Cook Islands - detailed information

The obverse of the coin shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait"). The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty's grandmother) in 1947 - which she also has on the Machin and the Gottwald portraits.

In small letters below the head, the artist's initials IRB (for Ian Rank-Broadley).

Around the effigy is the monarch's legend and the face value: ELIZABETH II COOK ISLANDS 100 DOLLARS STEAMPUNK.

The effigy and inscription are in a small circle, surrounded by representations of steam engine parts; around below right, a large inscription reads STEAMPUNK.

The reverse design represents a futuristic view in the "steampunk" style, with a person wearing a gilded backpack in the foreground - the word Jules inscribed on his left shoulder, the date of issue 2023 on the backpack, and NEMO on the control board around his waist.

In the background, a mountain railway station with a steam train with its gold-plated front representing a clock face, a person riding a penny-farthing bicycle, another one with wings, and an overhead tram line - among other things.
