The mint says about it: It’s not everyday you see a pure silver bar shimmer bright blue, but that’s exactly what happens when you heat the highest quality silver grain under the right conditions. The Scottsdale Mint Galaxy Silver Kilo bar is an extremely rare naturally occurring effect when working with Silver. We can’t say exactly what causes this amazing effect, as it can differ between batches of refined silver and the magic that can happens happen with specialised cooling. All we can really say is we love it and we know you will too. These bars will undoubtedly get anyone to stop and gaze at its beautiful iridescent silver effect as it reflects the light and surroundings. It feels like holding a constellation of galaxies in the palm of your hand, and it will look like that to everyone who gazes on in jealousy too. In order to preserve its beautiful natural appearance, no further processing is done to the bar after being cast and poured. This means bars may have minor marks and scale on both the front and back. Regardless, every single bar shipped under this listing with have a beautiful brilliant blue flaked appearance and be hand selected for its iridescent lustre.
The front side has been left unpolished after being melted and cast, with a smooth blue flaky finish and some minor imperfections. On the back side are the Mint marks, weight, purity, serialisation, and the words “Galaxy Edition”.
“Made in Wyoming” is also proudly marked on the bars as this is one of the first products to come out of the brand new Scottsdale Mint factory in Casper, Wyoming USA. |
