King George III of the United Kingdom (4 June 1738 - 29 January 1820) / Portrait by Lewis Pingo (Sixth Head)

Gold third and half guinea coins were struck using this effigy of King George III from 1801 to 1803. It shows the king in profile and laureated in the classic fashion. This portrait was done by Lewis Pingo based on a model by Nathaniel Marchant.
