Mauritius / Queen Elizabeth II

Mauritius - Queen Elizabeth II (12 March 1968 - 12 March 1992)

The Monarchy of Mauritius (the Mauritian monarchy) was the system of government in which a hereditary monarch was the sovereign of the Mauritius from 1968 to 1992. Mauritius shared the Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II, with the other Commonwealth realms. The monarch's constitutional roles were mostly delegated to the Governor-General of Mauritius. The royal succession was governed by the English Act of Settlement of 1701.

The monarchy was abolished in 1992, when Mauritius became a republic within the Commonwealth.
