Comprising six unique Australian legal tender 20c types, this official AC/DC collection marks 50 yeras of Australian rock band AC/DC.
Five coins in the set each mark the anniversary of the release of one of AC/DC’s iconic albums, including Let There Be Rock, Powerage, Flick of the Switch, Blow Up Your Video, and Black Ice. Encircled by a black ring representing a vinyl record, the design of each coin depicts an iconic element of the design of the cover of the particular album. The sixth coin carries the classic AC/DC logo and can is only available in this set.
Five of the coins are dated 2023, which was a "future" date when the set was released on 6 October 2022. All coins have the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II - who died before the set was released - and not the effigy of King Charles III. |
