This is the proof version of the Australian circulating coin set for the year. It contains all the regular circulating denominations from $2 down to 5 cents, in Proof FDC grade. Unlike other years, none of the designs is substituted with a special commemorative edition.
This is the first Australian set of circulating coins featuring only the portrait of King Charles III (there was an earlier one marking the Change of Monarch, but it had mostly the historic effigies of Queen Elizabeth II). For some of the denominations (10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, and $1), this is the first time they were released with the portrait of the King.
