In 2015, the portrait of queen Elizabeth II on the coinage of the United Kingdom was updated from her official Fourth Effigy to her Fifth Portrait by Jody Clark. This set combines two "definitive" sets containing all the regular circulating denominations from £2 down to 1p carrying the Fourth Portrait plus the same denominations but with the Fifth Portrait.
The "definitive" style of the £2 also changed, so that the Fourth Portrait £2 is represented by the old "Technology" coin, and the Fifth Portrait £2 coin is of the newly introduced Britannia type.
The coins are all struck in Proof FDC grade with frosted finish, in 99.9% Platinum. |
