The 2016 United Kingdom Proof Coin Set Commemorative Edition, Coin Set from United Kingdom - detailed information

This is a sub-set of the standard United Kingdom Proof Set of the year, including (most of) the commemorative coins issued throughout the year, but not the regular circulating denominations.

The 2016 set includes the Queen's 90th Birthday Commemorative £5 (crown), plus an unprecedented number of commemorative £2 coins: three dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, one to the Great Fire of London and one to the British Army. There is also the "Last Round Pound" (the £1 denomination changed to 12-sided bimetallic coins later), and the Battle of Hastings 50 pence.

The coins are struck in Proof FDC grade with frosted finish. The set also contains an oblong Royal Mint medal.
