Non-circulating legal tender coins of the two cents denomination. The Australian two-cent coin is the second smallest denomination coin of the Australian dollar. Together with coins of the one cent denomination, it was withdrawn from circulation in February 1992 but was not demonetised and remains legal tender. Starting in 2006, the Royal Australian Mint has from time to time issued non-circulating coins for collectors, most of them keeping the old design as a tribute to the once popular coin. | ||||
