The Isle of Man has its own circulating coinage, which is used in parallel with the British Pound Sterling; it also issues an extensive range of commemorative coins for collectors, as well as bullion and commemorative coins in a variety of formats and designs for investors in precious metals.
One of the sizes used is the very small one twenty-fifth of a troy ounce (1/25oz) of gold format. At this size, coins are sold with a margin much higher than what can be considered plain "bullion", so we have decided to classify them as Non-Circulating Legal Tender (NCLT). |
