The 2014 1 oz Australian Silver Lunar Series Coin from the Royal Australian Mint showcases the Lunar Year of the Horse. Each coin weighs one troy ounce and has been minted with .999 fine silver. These coins are available in brilliant unciruclated, proof-like condition and ship in their original RAM packaging.
The 2014 Australian Silver Lunar Series Coin features the artwork of Ian Rank-Broadley on the obverse with a Lunar Year of the Horse theme on the reverse. The obverse design showcases Queen Elizabeth II in profile. The Queen’s name “Elizabeth II” is inscribed to her left with the country’s name of “Australia” shown to her right. The minting year and face value are also listed on this side which read “2014” and “1 Dollar.”
The reverse side of the 2014 $1 Australian Lunar Coin showcases the “Kicking Horse” design. In this design a horse is shown as he appears to be looking backwards, kicking his back legs. Underneath the animal is the Chinese character for “Year of the Horse” as well as the coin’s weight and silver purity which are “1 oz .999 Silver.”
