Coin | Noble Coin Set 1994 Medal |

|
Medals are a form of "exonumia" - objects related to coinage but not coins themselves. Such are, for example, the medals included in some coin sets, or promotional and commemorative pieces using coin-like formats. They do not have any "face value" and are not tokens either, but can still be of interest to coin collectors.
This medal was included in a special set commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Noble bullion coin series by the Pobjoy Mint. It is rhodium plated, and - despite the text on it - is made of silver. It has the reverse design of the half-ounce platinum coin which is also included in the set, with an additional text. |
