Saint Helena is a small island in the South Atlantic Ocean which is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. The currency of the island is the Saint Helena pound, fixed at parity with the pound sterling. The island has authorised some private mints to issue coins under its jurisdiction, which come in a variety of sizes - including in the large silver five ounces (5 oz silver) format, usually denominated as £5.

The 2024 Goddess Cybele design is the third edition in a coin series telling the stories of the Goddesses of Ancient Greek and Norse mythology.

The mint says about it:
Following the earlier releases of the Hera and Eos coins, the series now continues with the Goddess Cybele, designed by Joel Iskowitz. The origins of Cybele’s mythology lie in Phrygia, part of modern day Turkey. Cybele was born as a result of a liaison between the Sky God and Earth Mother themselves and became known as the mother of all life and all other gods.
