Information about effigy: King Charles III - Portrait by Jody Clark

This portrait of King Charles III shows the monarch bare-headed (not crowned), facing left. The portrait was developed for use in Commonwealth countries and territories in 2023 by Jody Clark, who was at that time a designer for the Commonwealth Mint; he is best known for his Fifth Definitive Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (the King's mother).

There is also a crowned version of this portrait, used on the reverse side of some commemorative coins.
