Coin | Gold Ounce 2020 World's Wildlife - The Whale |

|
The Democratic Republic of the Congo normally uses banknotes for circulation, and does not issue coins in the Congolese Franc currency. However, the country has authorised some foreign mints to issue commemorative and bullion coins under its jurisdiction.
Most of them are in internationally popular sizes, including the one troy ounce of gold (1 oz) format - such as this coin.
This coin is part of the second issue in the annual World's Wildlife Series, and is dedicated to the Whale.
The biggest representative of its type is the blue whale. With a weight of 200 tons and a length of up to 33 meters, the blue whale is the largest animal of the world. The jumps and the clapping with the back create a loud bounce. The animals use these noises to communicate with each other over large distances. |
