Egyptian Dragons date back to 3000 B.C. when they were sent by the gods to protect the land and underworld. In Egyptian mythology, the Dragon is known as “Apep,” and is often referred to as the “Lord of Chaos.” Apep is depicted as a massive serpent that stretches across the sky and tries to swallow the sun each day. Though generally believed to be the enemy of order and the forces of good, the Dragon was also a symbol of transformation and rebirth, with the power to transform and transcend.
Furthermore, the Egyptian Dragon was also believed to be a guardian of knowledge and wisdom, with access to hidden knowledge and secrets that were unknown to mortals. The Dragon was often depicted as a guardian of temples and tombs, and it was believed to protect the treasures and secrets contained within. |
