Silver Two Hundred Grams 2025 The Punk Universe - Silkpunk, Coin from Niue - detailed information

The obverse of the coin features the official Public Seal of Niue.

It has an inner circle of hiapo designs, representing the fonua (land), within which are stylised designs of a tree, representing life and tagata Niue (the people of Niue), surrounded by an outer circle in the form of a traditional Niuean garland of 14 seashells (representing the 14 villages of Niue), and crowned with St Edward's Crown (of the United Kingdom), representing the sovereign as head of state.

Around above between the two circles, the inscription PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE. Below, a ribbon carries the motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI on two lines (meaning "God, Niue Eternally"), below which two crossed katoua (Niue fighting clubs).

The seal is smaller than usual and is above the centre of the design.

Below, a Japanese-styled scene with ancient architecture in the foreground and a modern city skyline in the background, behind which a mountain. Above left, futurist fighter jets. Around above, several representations of the Moon.

Around above, the face value 15 DOLLARS, followed by the precious metal content 200 G AG 999 (two hundred grams of 99.9% silver).

The reverse design is coloured, and is "rimless" (extends to the edge of the coin with no surrounding rim). At its center is the figure of a warrior, stylized according to the Silkpunk aesthetic. The warrior is depicted kneeling on one knee, head bowed, and hands clasped together holding a sword.

"Every element of his attire and equipment has been rendered with extraordinary precision." Notably, the biomechanical armor - metallic inserts on the shoulders, hands, and left leg - evokes associations with intricate mechanisms at the intersection of armory art and advanced technology.

The background of the reverse is rich in detail. On the left, there’s architecture inspired by the Far East - with clearly outlined red rooftops resembling traditional Asian buildings. On the right, a tower is surrounded by glowing, spiral-shaped clouds from which ornamental patterns emerge, referencing classic Eastern design.
