Silver Kilo 2020 The Witcher - Sword of Destiny, Coin from Niue - detailed information

The obverse of the coin shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait"). The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty's grandmother) in 1947 - which she also has on the Machin and the Gottwald portraits. In tiny letters below the head, the artist's initials IRB (for Ian Rank-Broadley).

The portrait is small and placed on the left side of the design. The rest of the surface is taken by ornaments and symbols related to the famous saga.

On a ribbon above, the inscription VILLENTRETENMERTH, the name of a dragon in the book. In the centre, depicting another scene from the novel, is an ancient bridge built by the trolls, which collapses during the passage of the protagonists. Geralt and Yennefer, holding on to the bridge, are eventually rescued by Jaskier and the others. An agate stone insert above represents the sun.

Around below, the legend of the monarch, date of issue and face value: ELIZABETH II NIUE 2020 50 DOLLARS are followed by the hallmark Ag 999 (99.9% silver).

The reverse of the coin depicts the scene of the battle against the dragon from the novel “Sword of Destiny”. An agate stone insert above represents the sun.

Finish: antique, Ultra High Relief (UHR) - 3.6 mm deep, agate stone inserts, edge lettering.
The elegant box also reflects the uniqueness of our coin. The wooden box has been varnished to a high gloss, and the engraving on the front is covered in yellow, corresponding to the colour of the stone.
