Silver One Hundred Grams 2024 Note Coinbar, Coin from Niue
CoinSilver One Hundred Grams 2024 Note Coinbar

Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

A number of mints issue a large variety of commemorative, bullion and collector coins under the authority of Niue. These coins are dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to Niue itself. Many of them are in standard bullion sizes based on the troy ounce, but some are in the metric system, such as one hundred grams (100 g) of silver.

This silver bar made by the Pressburg Mint is Niue legal tender, and is the third design in a series of such bars. It is an amalgamation of a banknote, a coin and a bar, and features a modern design produced with a combination of minting and laser engraving.

In the right field, the inscription 100 G FINE SILVER 9999 (one hundred grams of 99.99% silver) above. Below, 5 DOLLARS again, and a depiction of the face of Michelangelo's David in a hexagon, below which in small letters SILVERNOTE 2024.
