Translation

Translated from Latin: Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith. Fifty Pence [year].

Description

For the first time in 2013, a coin of the United Kingdom featured both the denomination and the date on its obverse. This was then repeated on other commemorative coins in 2015 and 2016, with the denomination in numerals: 50.

Starting in 2016, some coins were also issued with essentially the same legend, but without the year on the obverse - for which see separate list.
