One Pound 2020 Harry Potter - Hufflepuff House, Coin from Gibraltar - detailed information

The obverse of the coin shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The Queen is wearing the royal diadem which she wears on her way to and from the State Opening of Parliament, and pearl earrings. This is the second effigy of Her Majesty designed by Raphael David Maklouf - not to be confused with her younger effigy by the same artist, widely known as her Third Definitive Portrait - on which she wears the same crown and earrings.

In tiny letters on the neck truncation, the artist's initials RDM.

The reverse of the coin depicts the crest of Hufflepuff House of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a British wizarding school from the Harry Potter fictional universe.

At centre, a badger standing on its hind legs, on a chequered background. Above the crest, a knight's helmet. A scroll below has the name of the house, HUFFLEPUFF.
