Above, a small effigy of Queen Elizabeth II - her Fourth Portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, below which in tiny letters the designer's initials IRB. Horizontally below the portrait, the years of the Queen's reign: 1952 · 2022.

Around the rim, the monarch's legend, the face value of the coin, the date of issue and the precious metal content: QUEEN ELIZABETH II 2oz 9999 Ag 2022 2 DOLLARS TUVALU. "2oz 9999 Ag" means "two troy ounces of silver"; Ag is abbreviated from Argentum, the Latin word for silver.

Surrounding that is a Christmas scene with a fireplace and "a tree, wreath and garlands adorned with coloured baubles and ribbons, as well as a stocking, snow globes, gift-wrapped boxes, sleepy pets, and refreshments for Santa on his busiest night of the year".

The Perth Mint's P mark is above right. The designer's initials JM (for Jennifer McKenna) are on the board of the mantelpiece above left.

The coin was issued during the reign of King Charles III; however, as there was no portrait of the king approved for use in Tuvalu yet, the obverse of the coin portrays a "Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse" with the dates of her reign - "1952 - 2022".
