|Coin||Proof Medal 2022 - Collector|
Medals are a form of "exonumia" - objects related to coinage but not coins themselves. such are, for example, the medals included in many Royal Mint proof sets. They do not have any "face value" and are not tokens either, but can still be of interest to coin collectors.
This medal, described as a "Base Proof Medal" on the Royal Mint's web site, was included with The 2022 United Kingdom Proof Coin Set - Collector Edition. Just like the coins in the set, it is in Proof grade.
On the reverse, several overlapping lines represent the silhouettes of various British coins.
On the rim of the line representing a 20p piece, the inscription PROOF MEDAL 2022.
