Silver Five Ounces 2024 Tree of Life, Coin from Niue - detailed information

Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

A number of mints issue a large variety of coins under the authority of Niue. Most of these are commemorative and collector issues dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to Niue itself. Many of them are in standard bullion sizes, including a large five ounces of silver format (abbreviated as 5 oz Ag, where "Ag" comes from the Latin word for silver, Argentum). Those issued at prices much higher than their bullion value are separately listed in the Non-Circulating Legal Tender (NCLT) silver five ounces section of the site.

Unlike them, this coin is targeted at bullion investors and was initially released at a price close to the value of its precious metal content.

This coin is part of the Truth Coin Series, produced by SD Bullion since 2018, consisting of a Roaring Lion of Judah design and a Tree of Life design initially, to which two more designs were added in 2022. The micro-graved "Truth" on the coins changes every year, with each year having its own unique scripture featured on the coin. The Roaring Lion is released earlier in the year compared to the Tree of Life and features the first part of the Truth, with the other designs completing a quote from the Bible. In addition, the coins of the Truth Coin Series contain high-level features that protect against the production of counterfeits.

For the 2024 Tree of Life coins, a message that reads “with the belt of truth buckled around your waist” has been micro-engraved onto the lower left branch of the tree. When put together with the other three designs of the 2024 Truth series, they create a full Bible verse.

There is also an inscription below the tree that reads יהוה‎ - Hebrew for Yahweh - The Memorial Name of the One Who Gives True Life.
