Silver Ounce 2019 Star Wars - The Force Awakens, Coin from Niue - detailed information

The obverse of the coin shows at its centre the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait"). The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty's grandmother) in 1947 - which she also has on the Machin and the Gottwald portraits.

In tiny letters below the head, the artist's initials IRB (for Ian Rank-Broadley).

Above the effigy is the monarch's legend, on two lines separated by a horizontal line: ELIZABETH II NIUE. Below the effigy, also on two lines separated by a horizontal line, the face value and date of issue: 2019 2 DOLLARS.

The reverse is coloured and features a replica image of the original poster for the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Below the poster, the logo STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS.

In small letters below left, the precious metal content 1 oz 999 Fine Silver (one troy ounce of 99.9% silver); below right, the copyright acknowledgement © & ™ Lucasfilm Ltd..
