Coin | Silver Ounce 2015 Chronos |

|
Apart from regular circulating coinage, Slovakia has mints that produce bullion which is not legal tender and is targeted at investors and not at coin collectors - such as this one.
This is the first issue in the Chronos series issued by the Pressburg Mint based in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The series has a new design every year. Initially it consisted of "silver rounds" (bullion which is not legal tender) - called "medallions" by the mint. Starting with the Chronos 2019 issue, the series continued as coins which have legal tender status in Tokelau.
The mint says about the design: "Panta Rhei" - everything flows and things come and go. When it comes to value, precious metals have always held a crucial position in the world of finance. Nowadays, a safe haven at the very least, a financial norm in the past. Silver currently holds an especially important position in the financial world and we believe it will continue to do so for a long time. Now and forever.
The coin is minted using LBMA-certified 1oz 999/1000 silver blanks, undergoing a thorough cleaning process before striking, ensuring proof-quality specimens. |
