Silver Ounce 2016 Chronos, Coin from Slovakia - detailed information

Apart from regular circulating coinage, Slovakia has mints that produce bullion which is not legal tender and is targeted at investors and not at coin collectors - such as this one.

This is the second issue in the Chronos series issued by the Pressburg Mint based in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The series has a new design every year. Initially it consisted of "silver rounds" (bullion which is not legal tender) - called "medallions" by the mint. Starting with the Chronos 2019 issue, the series continued as coins which have legal tender status in Tokelau.

The mint says about the design:

The coin is minted using LBMA-certified 1oz 999/1000 silver blanks, undergoing a thorough cleaning process before striking, ensuring proof-quality specimens.
