A gold coin (19 mm diameter with milled edge) featuring a bare head of King George V facing left; around, GEORGIVS V D. G. BRITT: OMN: REX F. D. IND: IMP: below on the neck truncation in tiny letters the artist's initials B.M.. The reverse features St. George on horseback holding short sword, the horse rearing to right over a fallen dragon which has a broken lance in its chest; in exergue, the date, 1915 and the artist's initials B.P.

The mint mark (if any; coins struck at the Royal Mint London do not have a mint mark) is in the ground above the middle of the date.

(Benedetto Pistrucci).
