Silver Ounce 2021 Star Wars - Scout Trooper Helmet, Coin from Niue - detailed information

Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

A number of mints issue a large variety of commemorative, bullion and collector coins under the authority of Niue. These coins are dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to Niue itself. Many of them are in standard bullion sizes - typically, one ounce of silver (abbreviated as 1 oz Ag, where "Ag" comes from the Latin word for silver, Argentum). Many of these feature famous movie characters.

This coloured and specially shaped coin is part of New Zealand Mint collection dedicated to characters and themes from the Star Wars series of movies, and is part of the Faces of the Empire series; it features the Scout Trooper Helmet.

The Mint says about it:
The lighter armoured, more mobile Scout Troopers were an Imperial tactical unit introduced in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. This 1oz pure silver coin follows the shape of the Scout Trooper’s headgear. The coin has been coloured to replicate the helmet as well as given additional relief for a more 3D feel.

This is a legal tender coin and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. It arrives inside a compact and modern Star Wars branded case, which incorporates a large window for easy display. A Certificate of Authenticity has been added to the back of the case along with a holographic sticker confirming the coin’s unique number in the 10,000 mintage. Opening the box you will find the specifications for the coin, which is placed inside a custom-made acrylic case for extra protection.
