This coin is part of a large New Zealand Mint range featuring Disney characters, and is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the animated film Frozen.

The film was released in November 2013 and is the 53rd animated film of Walt Disney Studios. "Frozen" is based on the fairy tale "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. The film tells the story of Princess Elsa, who has magical abilities to create snow and ice.
