Silver Three Ounces 2021 Chinese Warriors - Dian Wei, Coin from Niue - detailed information

The obverse of the coins shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait"). The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty's grandmother) in 1947 - which she also has on the Machin and the Gottwald portraits.

Normally, the artist's initials IRB (for Ian Rank-Broadley) are below the portrait when it is used; however, they are not displayed here.

Around the effigy is the monarch's legend, the date of issue and the value: ELIZABETH II NIUE FIVE DOLLARS 2021 3oz Ag999; the inscription also includes the metal content - three troy ounces of 99.9% silver.

The effigy and text are in a small circle on the left. The rest of the surface represents a curled Chinese dragon behind three crossed swords.

The reverse of the coin portrays Dian Wei, a Chinese general from the 2nd century AD. He is shown as a robustly built fighter. In his arms, he holds twin halberds, each weighing according to legend over 20 kilograms.

On the right, the inscription Dian Wei, below which the same in Chinese, 典韋.
