Silver Five Ounces 2024 Dragon Awakening, Coin from Niue - detailed information

The obverse of the coin features the official Public Seal of Niue.

It has an inner circle of hiapo designs, representing the fonua (land), within which are stylised designs of a tree, representing life and tagata Niue (the people of Niue), surrounded by an outer circle in the form of a traditional Niuean garland of 14 seashells (representing the 14 villages of Niue), and crowned with St Edward's Crown (of the United Kingdom), representing the sovereign as head of state.

Around above between the two circles, the inscription PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE. Below, a ribbon carries the motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI on two lines (meaning "God, Niue Eternally"), below which two crossed katoua (Niue fighting clubs).

On two lines below, the name of the country and the date: NIUE 2024. Around below, the face value 10 DOLLARS, followed by the precious metal content: 5 oz Ag 999 (five troy ounces of 99.9% silver).

The background depicts parts of the Great Wall of Chine, with smoke coming from some of the watch towers.

The reverse depicts a section the Great Wall of China. In the distance is a giant dragon laying waste to the surrounding countryside with his fire breath.

The design is rimless (extends to the edge of the coin without a surrounding rim). There is no inscription.

Finish: antique, ultra high relief.
Packaging: in acrylic display block and illustrated box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The edge is inscribed with a unique serial number matching the certificate, in the form of "Ag 999 S/N xxx/159".

There is no indication on the certificate or on the coin itself as to which company or mint has manufactured the coin.
