Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

A number of mints issue a large variety of commemorative, bullion and collector coins under the authority of Niue. These coins are dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to Niue itself. Many of them are in standard bullion sizes - including this very large five ounces of silver format (abbreviated as 5 oz Ag, where "Ag" comes from the Latin word for silver, Argentum).

The mint says about it:
Our grand coin series, Art of the 100th is a celebration of 100 years of Warner Bros. and some of their most iconic movies. This third release in the series pays tribute to Enter the Dragon. The film is widely regarded as one of the greatest martial arts films of all time and is known for mainstreaming worldwide interest in the forms of combat.

Like all the coins in the series, the special memento is made from a whopping 5oz pure silver and has a limited mintage of just 100! It features a stunning, intricate design that captures the essence of the 1973 film. You will see that the dragon has been left in a beautiful mirror finish to let the silver shine and contrast with the coloured image. A frosted border has also been applied for further detail and to give the design a more dynamic appearance.
