The reverse design of the coin features a collage of the three themes of Perth Mint's long-running coin ranges: the Kangaroo, the Kookaburra, and the Koala. The kookaburra sits on a branch on the left while gazing into the sky; the kangaroo hops through a field of grass above right; the koala watches the viewer with curious eyes, below right.

Above, on two lines the inscription AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE. On the central line separating the kangaroo from the koala - on the left, 2 oz 9999 SILVER (two troy ounces of 99.99% silver); on the right, the date of issue 2024, below which the Perth Mint's mint mark; instead of the usual P, it is P125 to mark the 125th anniversary of the mint.

The designer's initials NH (for Neil Hollis) are in the left field behind the kookaburra.
