Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

A number of mints issue a large variety of commemorative, bullion and collector coins under the authority of Niue. These coins are dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to Niue itself. Many of them are in standard bullion sizes - typically, one ounce of silver (abbreviated as 1 oz Ag, where "Ag" comes from the Latin word for silver, Argentum). Many of these feature characters and themes from popular culture.

This coin displays a coloured image of the first comic book in the Silver Age, from October 1956, featuring The Fastest Man Alive - The Flash. To mimic the comic book, it is crafted into a rectangular shape and coloured on all four sides to represent the spine and pages! Despite its unique features, this is an officially licensed coin. On the obverse is the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, to confirm the coin as legal tender.

Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, this iconic collectible is held inside an acrylic capsule for protection and nestled in black velvet. A custom-designed outer box houses the coin and includes a large display window so you can easily showcase your rare collectible. Printed on the back of the box, you will find a Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number in the limited mintage of 5,000.
