Niue, a sovereign state in free association with New Zealand, uses two official legal tender currencies. The New Zealand Dollar is the circulation currency for daily transactions, while the government also authorises legal tender coins in the Niue Dollar currency for collector's purposes.

The Nun is a 2018 American Gothic supernatural horror film made by Warner Bros. - and its demonic central character now forms part of our Chibi Coin Horror Series. The coin is a coloured and shaped Chibi version of the chilling nun in full habit - who can forget her chalky-white skin, piercing yellow eyes, and sharp fangs? Despite this unsettling image, it is a still legal tender coin with a mintage of only 2,000. The Public Seal of Niue is featured on the obverse along with confirmation that the coin is indeed 1oz of pure silver.
